LONDON'S CLOSEST & BEST SEA SAILING
With the opening of the second road crossing in 2005 you now have a fast road access from London and Medway towns via the M2 and A249, and Maidstone via the A249 and Sheerness was the first beach in Kent to be awarded the prestigious Blue Flag Award for its exceptional water quality and standards.
Founded in the late 1800s the IOS Sailing Club is a friendly family orientated
club catering for dinghy and catamaran sailing. The club has a very reasonable
subscription with regular social events.
The facilities include a large purpose-built clubhouse with bar, viewing lounge,
150 capacity hall with stage. You can launch via wide concrete ramps, driving
your boat to the waters edge. Easy and free car parking less than one mile
from the town centre. The club have exciting development proposals.
TRAINING
As an RYA Training Centre for over 30 years, courses can be run in dinghies
and powerboats, according to demeaned.
